As always, Sun West athletes have been very active with the Senior Curling District Championship being held in Outlook on February 10 and Junior Basketball District Championships being held in Rosetown on February 15.
Outlook High School Blues Senior Boys Curling Team won the Senior Boys District Championship and will be going on to Regionals in Moose Jaw on March 3-4.
Loreburn Aztecs Senior Mixed Curling Team won the Mixed Curling District Championship and will also being going to Regionals in Moose Jaw on March 3-4.
Teams from Davidson School, Eston Composite School, Kindersley Composite School and Kenaston School competed in the Junior Boys District Championship. Davidson emerged the champion in the final against Kindersley.
Teams from Rosetown Central High School, Biggar School 2000, Davidson School and Kenaston School competed in the Junior Girls District Championship. Kenaston, which had been undefeated all season, won the championship in the final against Rosetown.
Congratulations to all the Sun West athletes who competed in these sports and to the district Champions for their achievement. Best wishes to all the teams advancing to Regionals!
