The UWindsor mock trial team took top honours in a field of 20 squads from across the province competing in the University of Waterloo's 2025 Black & Gold Invitational Mock Trial, Jan. 25 and 26.
The UWindsor team finished atop a field of 20 at the 2025 Black & Gold Invitational Mock Trial in Waterloo. Showing off their hardware are Faadel Asfari, Joseph Murtagh, Elizabeth Spiridon, Emma Northcott, Kailyana Gelinas, and Matthew Livingstone.
Criminology student Emma Northcott, law and politics students Elizabeth Spiridon and Kailyana Gelinas, and business students Joseph Murtagh, Matthew Livingstone, and Faadel Asfari swept to a 6-0 victory; Murtagh won the individual best competitor title.
"Facing the University of Guelph in the finals was a highlight of the competition," says Livingstone.
