Dr. Laing's research has also included undergraduate nursing program planning. Her current research interests lie primarily in lottery-based admission processes in undergraduate nursing education and the role of technology in evaluation and clinical feedback. She is active at the local, national and international levels of paediatric oncology nursing and undergraduate nursing education.
An extensive search was conducted to find the best possible candidate for the dean position. I would like to extend my appreciation to the members of the advisory selection committee for contributing their time and insight to this important search process. They are: Dr. Pamela Roach (VP (Research) representative), Dr. Shelley Raffin Bouchal (tenured academic staff representative), Dr. Cydnee Seneviratne (tenured academic staff representative), Dr. Lorelli Nowell (tenured academic staff representative), Shannon Parker (tenured academic staff representative), Dr. Justine Wheeler (TUCFA representative), Dr. Evaristus Oshionebo (decanal representative), Carrie MacKay (MaPS representative), Judith Berzins (AUPE representative), Jessie Dinh (SU representative), Dr. Fiona Clement (GFC representative), Dr. Jennifer Lock (GFC representative), and Shawna Syverson (community representative).
