During Education Week, members of the ATA Local 41 stopped by four Lethbridge School Division schools to recognize four special teachers.
In total, 240 nominations were received from parents, students and staff and in the end, four names were drawn (two elementary teachers and one each from middle and high school).
With the names in hand, four "secret celebrations" were hosted to celebrate the teachers and recognize them at their schools.
At the celebrations, teachers received $200 towards professional learning/resources, along with a Panago pizza party and treats from Cookie Crimes for their respective classes!
This year, Riley Ellis-Toddington from Wilson Middle School, Kali Paterson from Westminster Elementary School, Brody Turnbull from Chinook High School and Audrea Chichery from École Agnes Davidson were recognized.
