The search for a new executive director at the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking has attracted many highly qualified candidates from around the world. I am pleased to announce that Guy Levesque will be starting in this key leadership role as of Nov. 25, 2024, and reporting to me directly.
Guy comes to the University of Calgary with over two decades of experience in the innovation sector, first in public sector leadership roles at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the Canada Foundation for Innovation, followed by post-secondary leadership positions at the University of Manitoba and University of Ottawa. Most recently, he has instituted strategic partnerships and change as the University of Ottawa's inaugural associate vice-president, Innovation, Partnerships and Entrepreneurship. Guy holds a Master of Science (Geology), as well as a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Ottawa.
