District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1) held its annual organizational meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The purpose of the organizational meeting is to elect a Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board for the following year.
Cindy Pye-Reasbeck was acclaimed as Chair of the Board, and Jonathan Byer was acclaimed as Vice-Chair.
Chair Pye-Reasbeck, who held the role of Vice-Chair in the last year, succeeds Trustee Steve Meunier.
"It is an honour to be named Chair of the Board for DSB1. I would like to thank our outgoing Chair, Trustee Meunier, for his service to the Board in the last year. I am excited to work with all Trustees and Director Dye in the coming year, said Chair Pye-Reasbeck."
"I am honoured to accept this opportunity and thank the Board of Trustees for their confidence in me. I look forward to collaborating closely with Chair Pye-Reasbeck and all DSB1 Trustees," added Vice-Chair Byer.
The Chair and Vice-Chair serve a one-year term and are elected during the annual organizational meeting.
