Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Adamson as the division's new Assistant Superintendent of People Services, effective summer 2026.
Adamson currently serves as Director of People Services within WCPS. Over the course of his career, he has also held highly successful Assistant Principal and Principal roles within Wolf Creek Public Schools and across K-12 education. He holds both a Master's degree, Bachelor of Education, and Bachelor of Physical Education.
"Jay brings a deep understanding of our division, our schools, and most importantly, our people," said Superintendent Tim De Ruyck. "His leadership experience across multiple roles, combined with his commitment to building strong relationships, makes him an excellent fit for Assistant Superintendent of People Services. We are confident he will continue to strengthen the supports that help our staff and students thrive."
Adamson is widely recognized for his relationship-focused leadership approach. He believes that strong, healthy workplaces are foundational to student success and that investing in staff development and wellness directly impacts student outcomes.

Adamson will assume the role from departing Assistant Superintendent Sonja Dykslag, who will retire at the end of the school year after her dedicated service to Wolf Creek Public Schools.
