Northlands College Breaks Ground On New Facility Shop And Storage Building At River Campus

Northlands College is excited to announce the groundbreaking of a new, state-of-the-art facility and storage shop at the scenic River Campus. This new build marks an important step in the College's ongoing commitment to sustainability, functionality, and innovation, providing essential infrastructure that will benefit the entire Northlands College community.

The cutting-edge facility is thoughtfully designed to merge practicality with environmental mindfulness, offering key features that will enhance campus operations and reinforce Northlands College's dedication to sustainable development:

  • Natural Color Palette: The building's design embraces the surrounding wooded landscape by incorporating a natural color palette, seamlessly blending the structure with its environment.
  • Architectural Elegance: A stunning Indigenous Tipi arch, backlit with energy-efficient LED lighting, serves as a striking and meaningful focal point at the facility's main entrance. This unique architectural element celebrates our Indigenous heritage and sustainable design.
  • Versatile Workshop: The facility's workshop is equipped to manage a variety of maintenance tasks, supporting the construction and repair needs of all Northlands College campuses.
  • High Bay Storage: Designed for efficiency, the high bay storage area will optimize inventory control and provide easy access to essential equipment and materials, ensuring streamlined operations across the College.
