COLLÈGE BORÉAL
Collège Boréal marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October 4, 2024
Collège Boréal's Inclusivity Works project invites its partners and the community to highlight the contributions of employees with disabilities across the province.

In honour of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Collège Boréal continues to work with organizations and businesses to diversify workplaces and create professional environments that are both inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities.

Through its Inclusivity Works initiative, Collège Boréal trains employability professionals to offer services to individuals with disabilities. This initiative provides a range of resources, including presentations and workshops, aimed at expanding the accessibility tools available and raising awareness among companies about the importance of diversifying their teams and creating more dynamic, respectful, and innovative work environments.

A visual, high-impact call to action

Inclusivity Works encourages all Collège Boréal partners to light up their facilities in blue or purple on October 17. This simple yet significant gesture sends a powerful message: the inclusion of people living with disabilities is everyone's responsibility.

A long-term commitment

Inclusivity is at the heart of Collège Boréal's values, ensuring that work environments recognize and celebrate the skills of every individual. The College remains firmly committed to promoting equal opportunities and working hand in hand with its partners to achieve this ambitious goal.

"National Disability Employment Awareness Month offers an opportunity to reaffirm Collège Boréal's commitment to fostering an increasingly inclusive society. To ensure that everyone feels a sense of belonging, we must continue to create environments where each person feels valued and supported."
