The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board is excited to share that construction of a new build for St. Gregory Catholic School will begin this spring.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) is excited to share that the Ministry of Education has approved the Board's request for additional funding to re-build St. Gregory Catholic School.
With this additional funding announcement, the construction project has been awarded and we anticipate construction on the new site to begin in the spring.
In 2022, the ALCDSB purchased a new site located at 175 Talbot Street in Picton for the construction of a new school for St. Gregory Catholic School.
This new build continues ALCDSB's commitment to design modern, collaborative learning spaces which will inspire our students to reach their full potential. This project is part of the province's capital investment program to support students with better learning spaces.
This new build will accommodate:
- 354 elementary student spaces
- 15 learning studios
- 5 learning commons
While this work is being completed, the St. Gregory Catholic School community will continue to be housed in the existing St. Gregory CS building located on Owens Street in Picton.
