The University of Regina is pleased to announce that Forster Investments Inc. has been selected as the successful proponent to lead planning for the proposed land development project.
After assessing the viability, costs, benefits, and risks of development opportunities of the University's land assets, it was determined that the 33 acres at Grant Road is the best suited option to explore.
This approach is part of the institution's broader strategy to diversify revenue streams, ensuring sustainable growth that enhances the student experience, while aligning with the institution's vision, mission, and mandate over the long-term.
"This represents an important step in exploring how the University can leverage its existing assets to support future growth," says Dr. Jeff Keshen, President and Vice-Chancellor. "Forster Investments Inc. brings significant expertise and a strong track record, and we look forward to working together to identify opportunities that create long-term value for our campus and broader community."
In December 2025, the University issued a request for proposals to seek a third-party developer to identify land use concepts that are driven by local demand.
"We are honoured to have been selected to participate in this exciting initiative," says Blair Forster, President and CEO of Forster Investments Inc. "We appreciate the confidence the University has placed in our team, and we are eager to collaborate on concepts that reflect the institution's vision while creating meaningful opportunities for the community."
The project will follow standard development approval processes and is expected to include community engagement in spring or summer 2027.
