As part of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board's Multi-Year Strategic Plan (2025-2028), our first goal Promote Academic and Co-Curricular Excellence focuses on nurturing the whole student: academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Faith-infused learning is central to this goal. We will advance academic excellence, across all areas of the curriculum, through a distinctly Catholic lens. We will support the integration of Catholic teachings so that faith and learning are meaningfully connected in every classroom experience.
Professional learning opportunities will support staff in embedding Catholic identity and values into daily practice. New pathways for adult faith formation and Catholic leadership development will ensure that every role within our system reflects the heart of our Catholic mission.
The HWCDSB will also continue to invest in athletics, the arts, and other co-curricular activities that enrich student life. Targeted supports will ensure all students, including those with diverse learning needs, can reach their full potential in keeping with our philosophy of Each Belongs.
By promoting academic and co-curricular excellence, we prepare students not only for success in school, but for a life of faith and service.
