Congratulations to Vanier College's Florianne Jourde who is the deserving recipient of a soccer scholarship awarded by CF Montreal in partnership with Aléo Fondation as part of CF Montreal's continued commitment to the development of women's soccer in Quebec. Florianne was one of four young women soccer players in Quebec who each received $2000 bursaries at a brief ceremony held at Stade Saputo on May 6, 2023.
Eighteen-year-old Florianne helped Team Canada qualify for the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in April 2023. She was also part of the Canadian team at the Under 20 World Cup in August 2022.
Florianne is looking to help the national team make a mark at the Under-20 World Championship in 2024. She also wants to make a good first impression with the University of Southern California Trojans.
She is currently studying Pure and Applied Sciences at Vanier and is very interested in the health field. Her dream job would be to combine the health and sports fields. She envisions herself participating in research on athlete performance.
