Celebrate student achievement, dedication, experiential learning and community partnerships during the annual Innovation and Technology Showcase at Fleming College on Friday, April 5.
This day-long event will see more than 180 students from 46 different teams show off their business and tech-savvy skills.
Tasked with finding solutions to real-world problems from clients on a local, national, and international level, teams will be put through two rounds of judging. The first round consists of a panel of internal judges, and community partners and guest judges will make up the panel for the second round.
The top three business teams and the top three technology teams which demonstrate a high level of creativity, resourcefulness and innovation will be recognized with the Innovation Award.
Students are from the Marketing Management, Wireless Information Networking, Global Business Management, Computer Security and Investigations and Computer Engineering Technology programs. Teams have been working on their applied projects throughout the semester.
The Innovation and Technology Showcase takes place in the D-Wing and the Steele Centre Pub at Fleming's Sutherland Campus and begins at 9 a.m.
Local entrepreneur and motivational speaker Neil Morton will kick off the showcase at 9:15 a.m. in the D-wing foyer. The event will also be live streamed on Fleming's YouTube channel.
