CONESTOGA COLLEGE
Conestoga nominated for Stratford business excellence award

April 30, 2024

Conestoga's Stratford campus has been nominated for a Stratford & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award. The nomination was submitted by a student who accessed the college's free professional development services in preparation for a post-secondary program.

"We're so honoured that one of our students would take the time to recognize our work in this way," said professor Robin Ritz.

"We find it rewarding to help students meet their career goals, and being nominated for a business excellence award helps us to realize that we are making a difference in the community."

Academic Upgrading was among the services accessed by the student -- a free program that provides adult learners with the opportunity to improve their mathematics, communications, English, science, and computer skills, up to college-entry level.

"Our nomination for this award helps to spread word about our excellent services in Stratford," said Karen Morgan-Bowyer, chair, Community Services.

"It also provides an opportunity to increase awareness of the free services for the community that Conestoga offers not only in Stratford, but in many of our campus locations."

The Stratford & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards will be presented at a gala event on May 2.
