Three culinary graduates from Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) have received the 2024 Lieutenant-Governor's Award for Culinary Excellence.

The awards ceremony with Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc took place on July 4 at Government House in Halifax.

The recipients are:

  • Zeniath Abiri, culinary management, Akerley campus, Dartmouth
  • Austen McInnis, culinary skills, Pictou campus, Stellarton
  • Nicholas Cole, culinary management, Kingstec campus, Kentville.

"Each recipient demonstrates exceptional talent, vision and dedication, reflecting the high standard of culinary training provided by NSCC across our provincial campuses," said Lt.-Gov. LeBlanc. "Their accomplishments are impressive, and I eagerly anticipate their future contributions to the culinary industry."

Selection criteria for the awards include academic excellence, commitment to the culinary profession and community engagement.
