This partnership reflects the college's 2023-2028 strategic plan aimed to support the aspirational goals of Northern communities."

This collaboration reflects Northlands College's dedication to enhancing educational pathways that empower individuals in our Northern service region. By offering these programs locally, the partnership will help reduce barriers to higher education, ensuring that residents of Fond du Lac First Nation and surrounding communities have the resources and support needed to achieve their academic and professional goals.

The Government of Saskatchewan is investing $310,000 through Northlands College's 2024-25 operating and program grants as part of the province's commitment to furthering economic growth and Indigenous education in the north.

"We are proud to support initiatives that inspire people and create more opportunities to learn closer to home," Advanced Education Minister Colleen Young said.
