NAIT and API partner to boost life science innovation

August 22, 2024

NAIT and API entered a strategic partnership, combining expertise and facilities to bolster training and support for professionals in the life sciences sector.

The recently announced partnership leverages NAIT's Centre for Advanced Medical Simulation (CAMS) to provide space and services for comprehensive usability and validation studies for life sciences innovators. By utilizing state-of-the-art simulation environments, health and life sciences entrepreneurs and startups can reduce the costs that can occur with testing and validating innovations and accelerate product development cycles.

The collaboration builds on a longstanding relationship, enhancing API's role as a key partner in prescription drug development and regulatory expertise with the capacity of CAMS at NAIT to accelerate health innovations in a simulated environment.

Additionally, API and CAMS will forge stronger connections between industry and academia, fostering the training and development of qualified professionals and promoting interdisciplinary experiences and interprofessional health education opportunities. This partnership aims to solidify Edmonton's leadership in the life sciences innovation ecosystem.
