George Brown College (GBC) and Niagara College are launching the Trillium Cellars Project, a collaboration that showcases the unique strengths of both institutions in winemaking, culinary and hospitality industries.
The project was unveied at The Chef's House in Toronto, where guests previewed a new line of student-produced beverages.
"Working on the Trillium Cellars project allowed us to bring unique perspectives to each bottle label, blending different styles and approaches," said Graphic Design graduate Patricia Media Dos Santos. "I loved the creative freedom we had to develop distinctive designs and explore different ideas and illustration techniques. Seeing our ideas come together as part of a cohesive collection has been an incredible experience and a highlight of my time at George Brown College."
Combining expertise in winemaking, culinary, and hospitality
This innovative project merges the shared and complementary expertise of GBC and Niagara College across winemaking, agriculture, culinary and hospitality fields. Wines for Trillium Cellars are crafted by students from Niagara College's Teaching Winery, while design students from George Brown's Centre for Arts, Design, and Information Technology created the modern packaging.
