Conestoga has been named among Canada's best culinary schools in 2025 by University Magazine, ranking number three out of 30 colleges and universities that made the list.

In its review of Conestoga, the magazine stated that "students receive training in cutting-edge kitchens and have opportunities to participate in culinary events and competitions. Conestoga emphasizes real-world applications, ensuring students are prepared for the fast-paced culinary industry. Its strong partnerships with local businesses and restaurants provide invaluable networking opportunities and internships. Graduates have the skills and confidence to thrive in diverse culinary environments across Canada and beyond."

A ranking of culinary schools by University Magazine in 2024 placed Conestoga at number four out of 22 colleges and universities.

"We are deeply honoured to once again be named among the top culinary schools in Canada," said Keith Müller, executive dean of both the School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts and the Institute of Food Processing Technology.

"It's such great news for our students as it confirms that they chose one of the best culinary schools to attend, and bodes well for their credentials as they enter the job market. It's also a testament to our dedicated and talented employees who have worked tirelessly to create and maintain elite-level facilities and programming."

The magazine shares school rankings for various programs to help students make informed decisions when picking a post-secondary institution. University Magazine is "created by a student for students to provide tips on student life, financial, career, majors, ranking and important news that will impact students."

Conestoga's School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts is a leader in culinary and hospitality programming that prepares students for successful careers in Canada's tourism industry. Students learn from faculty members with extensive industry experience as they develop practical knowledge and theoretical skills. The Waterloo campus is home to its state-of-the-art culinary skills labs and student-run Bloom restaurant.
