This ambitious initiative aims to expand higher education offerings in Laval the third-largest city in Québec, currently experiencing strong demographic and economic growth. The project includes the creation of an Innovation Center, which will serve as a true catalyst for collaboration between academia, industry, and the community. This new space will host research laboratories, innovation groups, business accelerators, and emerging companies in the fields of global health, emerging technologies, and innovative educational practices.

A Strong and Committed Presence on the North Shore

Since 2012, LaSalle College has been firmly established in Laval with a campus that reflects our innovative educational approach and global outlook. We are proud to be the first and only subsidized private college to set up operations on the North Shore. It is with great enthusiasm that we joined this major project, which is perfectly aligned with our mission and values.

Our recognized expertise in creative and technological industries fashion, video games, animation, and VFX positions LaSalle College as a cornerstone of Quebec's Creative Tech sector. Our programs, developed in collaboration with industry partners, offer students hands-on learning experiences and real opportunities to connect with key players in the field.

Leading Industry and Education Partnerships

As part of the Consortium, LaSalle College is particularly proud to lead the initiative on strengthening industry connections. Our goal is to facilitate the integration of talent into the workforce through internships, collaborative projects, and training programs tailored to employers' real needs. This is what we already do daily with our students, and we are excited to bring this expertise to the broader project.

Educational Innovation in the Service of Creativity

Innovation is also at the heart of our teaching approach. The recent integration of Factry, the school of creative sciences, into our activities will further strengthen our offering of programs designed to develop students' creative skills and enhance our faculty's teaching methods.

As creativity is identified as one of the key skills of the future, we firmly believe it will be essential for professionals and businesses to adapt to upcoming economic and societal challenges.

A Promising Initiative for the Future of Laval

The Carré Laval initiative clearly illustrates the value of collaboration between public and private institutions in driving innovation, enhancing higher education offerings, and retaining local talent. By focusing on creativity and innovation, we aim to help establish Laval as a premier destination for professionals and businesses in the creative and technological sectors.
