Conestoga College Digital Television (CCDTV), Canada's first and only 24/7 digital streaming college channel, will mark its first anniversary on June 12.
Broadcasting via Roku TV, Apple TV, CCDTV.ca and YouTube, the channel has steadily grown its presence and viewership to more than 160,000 viewers across 85 countries.
Since its inception, CCDTV has been recognized for its community-based broadcasting, providing innovative educational and entertainment (edutainment) content across southwestern Ontario. The platform was recently honoured with two 2025 international Hermes Creative Awards:
- Gold Award for the Tour Gliding Series: a captivating travelogue showcasing southwestern Ontario's cultural and historical gems
- Platinum Award for Best Entertainment Program: highlighting original programming that resonates with student and community audiences alike.
"We are incredibly proud of how far CCDTV has come in just one year," said Bruno Cortez Sibella, station manager. "Our growth and the accolades we have received reaffirm our mission to tell impactful stories, amplify local voices and foster media innovation through education."
Programs like "Your Conestoga Today," "Tour Gliding Series," "Local Bites," "Sound Check" and "Conestoga Connected" showcase the talents of Conestoga's students, faculty and alumni but have also connected communities across southwestern Ontario.
The station will celebrate its first anniversary on Thursday, June 12 with a special broadcast at noon.
