NAIT welcomes Phil Michailides as Associate Vice-President, Advanced Skills Centre

NAIT is pleased to announce Phil Michailides will be joining the institution as Associate Vice-President, Advanced Skills Centre.

Michailides is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in operations, engineering, and project delivery. He most recently served as Vice-President, Operations at Dynamic Risk Assessment Systems Inc., and previously held senior leadership roles with MAXX North America Services Ltd., Pembina Pipeline Corporation, and Enbridge. 

Throughout his career, Michailides has led large-scale capital projects, managed complex organizational change, and aligned teams around strategy, execution, and accountability. He holds both a PhD and Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from the University of Alberta. 

At NAIT, Michailides will provide leadership for the development and delivery of the Advanced Skills Centre one of the institution's most significant capital projects. His work will focus on aligning activities across key portfolios, engaging with industry partners, and supporting the development of the business case for submission to the Government of Alberta. 

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Michailides contributes to the NAIT community as an assistant coach with the Ooks women's soccer team. His collaborative, team-oriented approach makes him well-suited to lead the next phase of this major institutional initiative.
