"What makes Canadore Employment Solutions special is the people behind it," said Andrea Jones-Pascoe, Manager, Canadore Employment Solutions. "Our team truly cares about helping job seekers find opportunities that fit their goals. We provide practical, personalized support from resume and interview guidance to training opportunities and connections with local employers. We're here to make sure no one has to navigate their career journey alone."

In addition to supporting students, Canadore Employment Solutions is aligned with Ontario's vision for a modern and innovative employment services system, delivering personalized guidance and improved access to opportunities that help job seekers build sustainable, long-term careers.

The employment centre also offers robust support to local employers by assisting with the recruitment of qualified candidates and streamlining the hiring process for successful placements. Services include a user-friendly job portal and financial supports designed to reduce hiring costs and advance talent development.

"Collège Boréal is proud to welcome Canadore Employment Services to our growing network of service providers in Northeastern Ontario," said Chantal Carré, Executive Director, Collège Boréal Service Systems Manager. " Our goal is to strengthen local access to quality employment supports, and this new partnership in the Nipissing region reflects our shared commitment to helping individuals and employers thrive. Together, we're building stronger pathways to employment and empowering our communities to reach their full potential."

"Canadore Employment Solutions is designed to bridge the gap between academic experience and the world of work," said George Burton, President and CEO, Canadore College. "Through career planning, targeted job-readiness workshops, and direct connections to industry partners, these services will help ensure our students and graduates move confidently from education into meaningful employment."

"North Bay employers are constantly posting roles on online portals, but they never actually get back to you. I've had the same exact experience with handing out resumes in person - they take your resume and then you never hear back," said
Veronika Rohachevska, a 2025 graduate from the Acting for Stage and Screen Program. "I am preparing to pursue an acting career, so I am seeking a work schedule that allows the flexibility to do so. As a Ukrainian refugee, I am my own primary source of financial support. I am also in the process of obtaining permanent residency in Canada which places certain restrictions on the types of employment I am eligible to undertake. Canadore Employment Solutions staff really takes time to get to know you as a person, to learn about your skills, and, in cases like mine, your life situation which helps them to find a position that fits you and that meets your needs."

Canadore Employment Solutions is available to everyone in the Canadore community. For more information visit their web page here.
