SELKIRK COLLEGE
Selkirk College Announces Fund for Peace and Reconciliation

January 26, 2026

Selkirk College invites employees and students to submit proposals for winter and spring 2026 funding through the Nathan and Anna Fund for Peace and Reconciliation.

The fund supports initiatives that advance reconciliation and peacebuilding on Selkirk College campuses and within surrounding communities. It offers up to $3,500 per year to eligible projects.

Selkirk College employees and students are encouraged to propose projects that promote reconciliation, peacebuilding, pacifism, truth-telling and the strengthening of community relationships. Projects should be grounded in reconciliation and peacebuilding, as shaped by the land and the shared histories of the people who live on it and move across it. All initiatives must align with Indigenous values, as articulated in the Selkirk College Indigenization Plan, as well as values important to Doukhobors, as named in the application.

Application and Eligibility

  • Applications are now open to Selkirk College employees and students, and will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
  • Proposal evaluations will begin on February 13, 2026, and continue until the currently available funding has been allocated. A new funding round will start in September.
  • Projects can span one term, one year, or multiple years.
  • A Selkirk College employee must be included as a supervisor.

Please see the application form for full eligibility criteria.
