Collège Boréal launches its first Business and Francophone Entrepreneurship Week

February 18, 2026

Over the next few days, webinars, workshops, panel discussions, and two career fairs will help foster innovation, diversity, and Francophone entrepreneurial leadership in Ontario.

Running from February 17 to 20, Collège Boréal kicks off its first Business and Francophone Entrepreneurship Week.

Organized by Collège Boréal's School of Business and Community Services and the Espace d'innovation, de recherche et d'incubation Desjardins (EIRI), in collaboration with Research & Innovation Boréal, the initiative aims to highlight and energize Ontario's Francophone and bilingual entrepreneurial ecosystem through a wide range of activities.

Designed as a space for networking, learning, and collaboration, the week will spotlight immigrant entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs, while showcasing Francophone innovation and economic development. It is intended for Boréal students, entrepreneurs, economic partners, and community organizations, while helping strengthen economic ties between Toronto and Sudbury.

Offered in person and online, the week's program includes thematic panels, hands-on workshops and webinars, networking activities, a showcase of student and entrepreneurial projects, activities for high school students, and two career fairs (in Toronto and Sudbury). Together, these activities will offer participants an immersive, hands-on experience.

"This first Business and Francophone Entrepreneurship Week at Collège Boréal is an opportunity to promote the richness and diversity of Francophone and bilingual entrepreneurship in Ontario. Thanks to the commitment of our faculty and staff, we are building bridges between business experts, students, and the communities Boréal serves across the province - helping foster visionary, collaborative, and inclusive entrepreneurial leadership."

- Jean Cotnoir, Dean, School of Business and Community Services, Collège Boréal

"This new initiative from EIRI and its partners opens up new opportunities for our students and the Francophone entrepreneurial community by giving them access to a space dedicated to experimentation, collaboration, and the development of innovative projects. We are creating an environment that supports emerging ideas, knowledge sharing, and the guidance of the talent that will shape tomorrow's Francophone economy."

- Mathieu Torres, Manager, EIRI, Collège Boréal
