Seasoned leaders, Chantal Carré and Suzanne Lemieux will continue their careers at Boréal as members of the institution's senior leadership team.

Chantal Carré, Vice-President, Corporate Services
With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Chantal Carré has worked in Collège Boréal's Employment Services sector since 2021. She has served as Director of Employment Services and Executive Director of Service System Management (SSM) for Northeastern Ontario. She currently oversees complex partnerships and transformation projects while ensuring clear alignment between government priorities and community needs.
Before joining Boréal's Employment Services sector, Chantal Carré held several senior leadership positions in the public and not-for-profit sectors, where she was responsible for policy development, program implementation, performance monitoring and organizational transformation. She is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Carleton University. Her leadership is marked by a collaborative approach, strong governance, and disciplined execution in environments shaped by change and accountability.
Suzanne Lemieux, Vice-President, Business Development
Suzanne Lemieux holds a PhD in Humanities from Laurentian University and has more than 15 years of experience in strategic leadership roles. Drawing on her strong expertise in applied research and program evaluation, she has helped achieve tangible results in institutional growth, resource development, securing funding and partnership development.
In her role as Dean of the School of Health Sciences at Collège Boréal, a position she has held since 2021, Suzanne Lemieux has contributed to the management and growth of a complex sector. She has worked closely with Continuing Education, the Office of Quality Assurance, Corporate Research and Strategic Planning, the Consortium national de formation en santé, and several ministries. These achievements have demonstrated her ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, build lasting partnerships with other colleges, community organizations and ministries, diversify revenue sources and deliver results aligned with Boréal's strategic priorities.

On June 15, Chantal Carré and Suzanne Lemieux will take over from Michel Doucet and Brian Vaillancourt, who are retiring from Collège Boréal after 8 and 27 years of loyal service, respectively.
