Canadore College concluded its Spring 2026 Convocation celebrations on June 12, recognizing graduates from across the College while also marking a historic milestone with the formal installation of Dr. Sandra Efu as Canadore's eighth President and CEO.

Over the course of multiple ceremonies held in North Bay and Parry Sound, Canadore celebrated the achievements of hundreds of graduates from a wide range of disciplines. The final ceremony, held at the College's Aviation Campus, recognized graduates from the School of Aviation Technology and select skilled trades and technology programs and featured the formal installation of Dr. Efu.
Graduates crossing the stage throughout the Spring 2026 Convocation ceremonies joined a growing network of more than 90,000 Canadore alumni who are making an impact in communities, workplaces, and industries across Canada and around the world.
"Convocation is a celebration of perseverance, achievement, and new beginnings," said Dr. Sandra Efu, President and CEO of Canadore College. "It was an honour to share this special day with our graduates and their families, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as Canadore's President and CEO. Together, we will continue to build on the College's strong foundation while creating new opportunities for students, employees, and the communities we serve."
The installation ceremony marked the formal investiture of Dr. Efu as Canadore College's eighth President and CEO, celebrating both the College's traditions and its future direction under her leadership.
"The installation of a president is a significant milestone in the life of any college," said Jake Lacourse, Chair of Canadore College's Board of Governors. "Since joining Canadore, Dr. Efu has demonstrated a strong commitment to students, employees, and our communities. On behalf of the Board of Governors, I am pleased to formally welcome her as Canadore's eighth President and CEO, and I look forward to working together to advance the College's strategic priorities and vision for the future."
