NACC congratulates 2016 Instructor and Graduate of the Year

The National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) is pleased to announce the 2016 winners of its annual Instructor of the Year Award and Graduate of the Year Award. The awards were officially presented at the conclusion of the 120th Anniversary NACC Conference in Ottawa.

Kathleen Moore was selected as the 2016 Instructor of the Year. Kathleen is a Community Support Worker program instructor at the triOS College Hamilton Campus, where she is also head of the department. She was nominated for her outstanding commitment to teaching and her students, and her focus on community engagement. Read Kathleen's story here.

Kathryn Boyd was selected as the 2016 Graduate of the Year. Kathryn was the valedictorian of her class at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria at her recent graduation. A mentor to high school students and respected by her instructors and peers, Kathryn is a young advocate for the Canadian arts and has specialized in stage management. Read Kathryn's story here.

"We received incredible nominations once again this year, which speaks to the quality of our instructors and students across the country," said Ginette Gervais, outgoing Chair of NACC. "Kathleen and Kathryn represent the best of the best and we are proud to recognize them with these awards of excellence."

Nominations are received annually from across the country. Applications were reviewed by an independent committee that oversees the selection process.
