REGINA
City invests in its future through scholarships for students

Through the Henry Baker Scholarship program, the City of Regina offers financial assistance to support students' academic and career goals. Each scholarship is worth $2,000.

Applications are now being accepted. A total of 17 scholarships are available to students enrolled at:

  • University of Regina (including Campion College and Luther College)
  • First Nations University of Canada, Regina Campus
  • Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Regina Campus
  • Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research (including Dumont Technical Institute), Regina Campus
  • Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, Regina Campus
  • Registered Vocational Schools in Regina (the Style Academy, Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies, Marvel Beauty School, the Globe Theatre Conservatory, Avant-Garde College, Apex Academy of Professional Grooming &  Animal Arts)

City Council created the scholarship program in 1997 to pay tribute to Henry Baker, who was both a teacher and Regina's longest serving mayor. Since then, the City has been encouraging youth in our community to pursue learning opportunities through the Henry Baker Scholarship Program.
