Centennial College student Jorielle Nunag wins 2018 CPRS/CISION Student Award of Excellence

May 30, 2018

The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) presented Centennial College student Jorielle Nunag with this year's CPRS/CISION Student Award of Excellence at the Society's annual Awards Gala on May 28.

"Jorielle's thirst to acquire new skills, new opportunities and her openness to constantly improve make her not only an ideal student, but an ideal practitioner, ready to contribute to the industry in a meaningful way," said nominating professor Donna Lindell. "She is a positive role model for many of her peers and is a delight to have in our program and in my classroom. It is an honour to support her nomination for the Student Award of Excellence."

Established jointly by CPRS and CISION, the award recognizes student excellence in public relations. Winning students have been nominated by their co-ordinators or instructors and at the time of their win were enrolled in their final year (or equivalent) of a recognized, full-time Canadian public relations program.

Not only will Nunag receive a $1,000 prize courtesy of CISION, but CPRS will also provide a complimentary one-year Affiliate Membership, designed specifically for new practitioners entering the profession following the completion of post-secondary public relations studies.
