MEDICINE HAT COLLEGE
MHC welcomes new president

April 17, 2019

Today (4/15) marks Kevin Shufflebotham's first official day on the job at Medicine Hat College (MHC) and the new president is excited for the opportunities ahead.

"Medicine Hat College has a strong reputation for its focus on student success and serving the needs of the community. The opportunity to serve as president of this highly valued organization is a tremendous privilege," says Shufflebotham. "I'm very happy to be at MHC and look forward to getting to know everyone at the college and making connections in our region."

He also acknowledged the work of acting president, Wayne Resch, and thanked the current executive team for their leadership during this transition period.

With a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University, Shufflebotham has a strong background in leadership and believes in building the capacity of his team to help meet the goals and strategic directions of the organization. Prior to accepting the role at MHC, he served as the provost at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, director of operations with the office of the president at MacEwan University and held various management positions with the Government of Alberta's Ministry of Advanced Education, including senior manager for the Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer and manager of business consultation.

Please join us in welcoming Kevin to our college and community!
