Vanier College is pleased to announce that Biology teacher, Christopher Gregg, has been recognized by Alliance Sport-Études in the second year of their program called "Tag ton prof" that recognizes teachers who support student athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits. This year, 24 teachers from 20 cegeps and one university were awarded for their outstanding work. These teachers were selected from 100 nominations submitted by student athletes from all over the province.

Vanier science student and synchronized swimmer, Jacqueline Simoneau, nominated Christopher Gregg for the award. "Christopher Gregg is the wonderful teacher who agreed to let me take his Research Methods class this past semester," says Jacqueline. "We met numerous times in his office to discuss and explore how I could take his class in the winter 2019 semester. He was understanding and extremely helpful throughout this entire process. He also put me in touch with Dr. Laura Nilson of McGill University where I will be working in her developmental biology lab. I want to thank him for all the help he gave me!"
Vanier academic advisor, Michelle D'Elia, also states that "Christopher has been phenomenal in helping Jacqueline Simoneau complete her Research Methods (RM) course even though she is not able to come to school since she trains everyday between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM."
Michael Sendbuehler, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, ads: "Christopher is a dedicated teacher and coordinator of Biology. He developed the RM course and works on finding each student a relevant placement in a research setting. He is a leader in the Science program and takes pride in helping students discover new horizons. As a result, the RM course is very popular. I am not surprised by his level of work with his student athlete. He takes his work very seriously and has a focus on student success second to none."
Congratulations to Vanier teacher Christopher Gregg.
