Douglas College is pleased to announce the appointment of Kayoko Takeuchi to the position of Vice President Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer. She will assume the role on September 9, 2019.
For the last 14 years, Kayoko has worked at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. She started as the Controller, was promoted to Director of Finance & Administration after a year, and ultimately served as Vice President Finance and Operations.
Kayoko completed a Bachelor of Business Administration and an Executive Master of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University, and holds the professional designations Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
In addition to her experience in the public post-secondary sector, Kayoko serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Legal Information Institute, which is a not-for-profit branch of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She has also co-facilitated and trained over three cohorts of candidates through the Certified Management Accountants Executive Strategic Leadership program and has adjudicated CMA and CPA candidates in their Strategic Case presentations.
Kayoko is also currently a member of the Government Organization Accounting and Auditing (GOAA) Forum of CPABC.
