This December, Carlton Trail College is helping individuals who may rely on a food bank, especially those within its learning region in east-central Saskatchewan.
The Humboldt & District Food Bank, Lanigan & District Food Bank, Wadena Food Bank, Watrous Food Bank and Wynyard Food Bank each received funds to assist with the purchase of food and other necessities. An internal food drive is also being supported by Carlton Trail College's Board and staff members.
"With the holiday season just around the corner, our team felt we could support efforts within our region to help provide food where it may be needed," said Adrienne Jackson, Carlton Trail College Board Chair.
"This donation is a small way our institution can spread some hope and happiness, and we are grateful to our regional food banks for their efforts in helping make the holidays a littler merrier for those experiencing hardship."
