The Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick and its applied research and innovation network, CCNB-INNOV, have been recognized for their collaboration with the private sector in Canada's Top 50 Research Colleges 2021.
In its category, CCNB ranks 6th for the percentage of private sector investments (25%) that are dedicated to its applied research, innovation and technology transfer projects. It also ranked 7th for the number of research partnerships developed during the year.
"Our priority is to work with businesses in New Brunswick and the Atlantic Provinces, whether through applied research, technology transfer or expert support," said Daniel Laplante, Director of CCNB-INNOV. "These results reflect the sustained efforts of our researchers and their teams in their pursuit of excellence, as well as the trust placed in us by industries and communities."
CCNB ranked 28th nationally in research revenue for the second year in a row among approximately 115 canadian colleges active in research. This is the 10th year in a row that it has earned a spot on the list of the Top 50 Research Colleges, produced by RE$EARCH Infosource Inc.
CCNB also distinguished itself in terms of research intensity, ranking 10th among all Canadian colleges by average research revenue generated per researcher.
