I am delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Riley as Vice-President, Human Resources, starting April 4, 2022.
As our chief human resources officer, Caroline will be leading and supporting initiatives across our Au Large priorities of equity, sustainability and the more virtual Seneca with the HR team. She will be taking over from Bernie Beaulieu who is retiring at the end of March.

The competition for the vice-president's position drew a strong group of candidates, and the interview committee was impressed by Caroline's embrace of the energy and innovative spirit behind our transformational opportunities.
Caroline joins Seneca from Ryerson University where she is Executive Director, Strategic HR Partnerships and Labour Relations.
In her current role at Ryerson, she has been leading initiatives in organizational and workforce planning while developing and implementing progressive HR policies, practices and procedures. Caroline's work included the return to campus post-pandemic, change management, executive coaching as well as leading the labour relations team. She was also the co-lead in implementing Ryerson's mandatory vaccine policy.
In her time at Ryerson, Caroline worked collaboratively to advance the values of equity, diversity and inclusion and was a central member of the university-wide Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Action Plan Working Group and the Truth and Reconciliation Strategic Working Group.
Prior to joining Ryerson in 2010, Caroline was at the City of Toronto in various labour relations positions and St. Joseph's Health Centre where her focus was on employee recruitment.
Caroline has a B.A. from Dalhousie University, a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Nova Scotia Community College and a Masters in Leadership from Guelph University. She is PROSCI change management certified and was the recipient of two staff awards at Ryerson.
Please join me in welcoming Caroline to Seneca.
