Diane Fagel Support Staff Excellence Award

Congratulations to Carly Lepoutre from the School of Community and Health Studies, who is the 2022 recipient of the Diane Fagel Support Staff Excellence Award. This award is presented to a support staff member in recognition of their support to teaching and learning excellence at the College.

Carly Lepoutre started her Centennial career in 2014. She began with the student recruitment team doing high school presentations where she learned about the various programs the college had to offer. During a site visit to Morningside campus she was able to tour the Health Studies labs not knowing that one day she would call them her second home. In 2016, she began her current role as Health Studies Lab Technician. Since then, she has worked collaboratively with program faculty, co-ordinators and department chairs from all the programs supported by the SCHS.

Supplemental to her work, Carly values education and has expanded her knowledge by taking various Centennial courses. She has assisted in developing and implementing many new protocols and procedures for various programs, as well as chairing the COVID-19 SCHS Lab Guidelines Committee.

Of all her professional, educational, and personal achievements, Carly would not be where she is today without the amazing support, respect and knowledge she receives from her team. Amongst these individuals is her mentor, Nancy Chung. Nancy was a mentor to many, and the heart of the SCHS Lab Team. She is missed every day, and her lasting impact is what made this achievement possible.
