The St. Lawrence Golden Eagles are two-time champs after winning the Cathedral Feeder School Tournament earlier in the season followed by yesterday's (March 8) CYO Senior Boys' Basketball Championship against St. Teresa of Avila by a score of 41-33.
The Eagles, who were down by 5 heading into the seventh shift, clawed back to take the lead late in the 8th shift.
"It is never easy to win any championship," say Coaches Anthony Orlando and Matt DiFrancesco. They add it takes determination, perseverance and a desire to put the team first.
"There is no doubt that all our players showed these important qualities each step of the way. For this, the boys should be very proud."
