Jolene Becker appointed Principal at École Joe Clark School

We are pleased to share that Ms. Jolene Becker has been appointed Principal of École Joe Clark School (ÉJCS) beginning in August of 2023. Jolene is an experienced and accomplished school Principal and brings 11 years of school leadership to this position. Jolene joined FSD in 2021 as Principal at Cayley School and Colony Schools. Prior to joining FSD Ms. Becker was Principal of A.B Daley School (K-6) in Livingstone Range School Division.

As Principal, Ms. Becker has proven herself to be a strong advocate for her school communities and has supported students, staff, and families by establishing positive relationships with all in the community and always acting in the best interest of her students. Jolene recognizes that all members of the school community have key contributions to make, and she welcomes the opportunity to collaborate and engage with the school community in ensuring optimal learning opportunities continue for the students of ÉJCS.

Ms. Becker holds a Bachelor of Arts/Education from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of New Brunswick. As well she holds her Alberta Education Leadership Certification (LQS).

Ms. Becker shares, "I am grateful for my time working with the Cayley School community over the last two years. I am proud of the work to advance learning at both Cayley School and Colony Schools during the time in my current role and will carry what I have learned into this new position. I am looking forward to joining the team at École Joe Clark School and for a new opportunity to build positive relationships and work collaboratively to support students, families, and staff in High River".

Superintendent, Dr. Chris Fuzessy offers, "We are happy to announce that Ms. Jolene Becker will be joining the team at École Joe Clark School at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. Ms. Becker brings many years of experience collaborating with and supporting students, staff, and the school community to this role.
