UPPER GRAND DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
2022-2023 EQAO Results have been released

October 13, 2023

Results from the province's 2022-2023 Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) tests have been released for school boards across Ontario, including the Upper Grand District School Board.

The chart below shows the UGDSB average in the EQAO test categories, compared to the provincial averages.

The 2022-2023 results confirm the UGDSB's data indicating a need to focus on improving skills in literacy and math in the early years. The results show that at the grade 6 level, many Upper Grand students performed at or above that of the provincial level.

To help support the early years, starting in the 2022-2023 school year, early reading teachers were deployed to further support students in grades 1 and 2. In addition, in June 2023, the UG Board of Trustees approved a multi-year budget dedicating additional resources to support students with reading and math.

The Upper Grand District School Board is committed to the core priority of Foundational Education and Student Achievement as outlined in the Multi-Year Plan and realizing VISION 2026.
