ST. CLAIR CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
St. Patrick's Students Receive Seed Funding for Miracle Mug Project

December 13, 2023

Grade 12 Leadership students from St. Patrick's Catholic High School in Sarnia have received $1,050 in funding from the Ministry of Education's Entrepreneurship Initiative Fund for their Miracle Mug project. The money will be used to purchase materials, enhance project development and create a platform for the students to showcase and sell their Miracle Mugs to the broader community. Proceeds from this fundraising project will go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Sarnia.

The initiative aligns with both the Board's and the Ministry's commitment to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among students, to help prepare them for the challenges and opportunities they will face in the future.

"I want to thank the Ministry for its support of this student-led project, through the Entrepreneurship Initiative Fund," says Robert Walicki, St. Clair Catholic's Entrepreneurship Initiative Coordinator. "This seed funding will undoubtedly catalyze the creative process and empower our students to turn their ideas into reality. The success of this project is a testament to our students' innovative spirit and the Board's commitment to nurture entrepreneurship in education."

"This project not only enriches the educational experience for the Grade 12 Leadership students, but also contributes positively to the community," says Scott Johnson, Director of Education.
