École St. Avila's Rupal Malik wins Early Years Excellence in Teaching award from U of M

Congratulations to Ecole St. Avila's Rupal Malik for being the 2023 recipient of the University of Manitoba's Early years Excellence in Teaching award for outstanding contributions as an early years teacher in Manitoba.

Rupal has a great passion for the visual and performing arts.  She has presented physical education and art workshops nationally for elementary school teachers. In addition, she has presented multicultural dance for educators internationally and throughout Canada. 

Ecole St. Avila students have had their talents displayed during the International Winter Cycling Congress, the Artist on the Avenue display, in conjunction with the Juno Awards, the Canada 150 celebration and currently on display at the Forks is a Warming Hut called Amisk.

Teaching Awards received by Rupal Malik: 

  • The Excellence in teaching award for Outstanding contributions as a teacher in Manitoba. (March 2024)

Recent awards

  • The National Award for Teaching Excellence in Physical Education - Outstanding Teaching and Leadership in Physical Education. (Physical and Health Educators of Canada)
  • Outstanding Contributions in Physical Education Award - (Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba)

Beginning Career

  • The Excellence in Teaching Award for her Outstanding efforts as a Beginning Teacher in Manitoba.
