High Prairie School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Kienan Wilson as the new Supervisor of Human Resources, effective in the 2024-25 school year. Mr. Wilson, who has been serving as the principal of Joussard School since September 2022, will embark on this two-year term position, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role.
"Mr. Wilson will be an invaluable addition to our team. With his previous administrative experience, and particularly dealing with HR issues at the school level, I believe he will navigate the HR world, all the while contributing to the overall smooth HR operations within the Division. I look forward to Kienan building solid relationships with both our certified members and with our local Association and Barnett House." stated Superintendent Murray Marran.
Kienan Wilson has been an integral part of the High Prairie School Division since 2017, demonstrating strong leadership and commitment to educational excellence. Prior to his role at Joussard School, he served as Vice Principal at Prairie River Junior High School and Joussard School. Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with honours from York University. He is currently completing his Master of Education in Leadership from the University of Calgary.
In his new role as Supervisor of Human Resources, Mr. Wilson will be responsible for a broad range of functions, including human resources leadership, management, budgeting, policy/administrative procedures, organizational management, communications, and community relations.
