NGPS is pleased to announce that Mrs. Kariann Roszko has accepted the Prinicipalship at Mayerthorpe Jr/Sr High School (MHS), effective August 2024.
Mrs. Roszko has been an invaluable member of the MHS team since 2013, serving as a teacher and Inclusive Education Facilitator, before expanding her role to Assistant Principal in 2021.
Since joining NGPS, Kariann has built effective support networks for students, fostered community partnerships, and collaborated with staff, partners and service providers, to ensure students' learning needs are met, and that all students have opportunities to thrive. She brings strong leadership skills to the position honed through her dual role as Assistant Principal and Inclusive Education Facilitator.
An active community member, Kariann has volunteered with numerous local organizations over the years and continues to serve as the President of the Mayerthorpe Golf Course, the Golf Coach for MHS' Junior and Senior golf teams, the Curling Coach for the Senior High team, and as a Support Worker for the Youth Justice Committee.

Mrs. Roszko shares, "I am honoured and excited for the opportunity to work collaboratively with the staff, students and families in the Mayerthorpe area. Together, we will continue to work hard so that every student in our building feels valued and is able to achieve their potential."
Mrs. Roszko holds a Bachelor of Education degree and a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership (GCSL), from the University of Alberta.
