During the Association des gestionnaires de l'éducation franco-ontarienne (AGÉFO) symposium held from April 17 to 19, 2024, Mr. Éric Foisy, Superintendent of Education at Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord, received the Prix de mérite 2024 for the pedagogical category. The AGÉFO Award of Merit is a distinction granted to a maximum of two people per year, one for each of the pedagogical and administrative components, who have made an exceptional contribution to Franco-Ontarian education or to the AGÉFO.
Throughout his longstanding career in education, regardless of the position he held, Mr. Foisy has always put the needs of students first and taken a passionate interest in the transformation of innovative, contemporary pedagogy, centered on the development of students' competencies. In his 14 years as Superintendent of Education, Mr. Éric Foisy has demonstrated exceptional leadership. Through his expertise, interpersonal skills and deep convictions, Mr. Foisy has exemplified a profound solidarity towards the Catholic faith, the Francophonie and the values that unite us in French-language education.
