Our Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Mr. Ola Oladele has been appointed their new Associate Superintendent - Business Services, effective June 3rd, 2024.
Under the direction of the Sandy McDonald, our Superintendent of Schools, the Associate Superintendent - Business Services/Secretary-Treasurer, provides expertise and advice in finance, operations, and corporate services to our Board, the division, and our schools. Through sound financial planning and management, the Associate Superintendent allocates resources to be utilized to support student learning while ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Ola brings with him over 16 years of senior executive experience, with the last eight years spent in the public sector, including the last six years as the Director of Information Technology and Finance & Chief Financial Officer for the City of Castlegar, B.C.
As a Chartered Professional Accountant, Ola holds a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and is recognized as an engaging leader, adept at fostering cultures of transparency and inspiring multidisciplinary teams toward continuous improvement.
