On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, please welcome Mia Guenther to her new appointment as Divisional Principal. The Board of Trustees confirmed her position at a Regular Board Meeting on May 7, 2024. Her official start date is Aug. 2, 2024.
Mia brings experience as a teacher, play therapist, school counsellor, and school administrator. She comes to the Louis Riel School Division from the Knowles Centre, where she leads a dedicated team pursuing inclusion, social impact, educational success, intentional cultural exploration, and community building as the CEO.
Mia strives to create opportunities for every child and young person to experience agency and thrive in supportive communities. She will support the student, instructional, and clinical teams in implementing key strategic priorities to enhance outcomes for students and families.
