CONSEIL SCOLAIRE CATHOLIQUE FRANCO-NORD
CSCFN is committed to creating inclusive and safe environments where every person feels welcomed, valued and respected

June 5, 2024

Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord (CSCFN) and its schools join their voices to those of the citizens of the world in calling for a loving, welcoming, caring and inclusive community.

In the tradition of the Church, June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus which, for Catholics, is both a sign and a symbol of God's boundless love for all humanity. June is also an opportunity to honour the heritage, diversity, culture and contributions of Indigenous peoples nationwide. The month of June is also LGBTQ2+ Pride month in Canada and in many communities around the world. Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord secondary schools display the Pride flag, a symbol of inclusion and diversity, to show their support for all members of their school community.

This month, and throughout the year, the Franco-Nord Catholic school community is committed to cultivating inclusive and safe learning environments where every student, staff member and community member feels welcomed, valued and respected.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, proud of our Catholic identity, we believe that we are all made in the image and likeness of the God who created us and loves us as we are. Each person is a wonder of God. We are therefore called to see each other through the eyes of God, with sensitivity, empathy and respect. This is how we can recognize the face of God in each person. Together, through our sharing, learning and work, let us celebrate this God who works wonders, who loves us, who knows us and who calls us by name to enter a relationship with Him.
