Winnipeg elementary students pay tribute to first responders

Grade 5 students at Meadows West School created artwork, essays and poems dedicated to firefighters and paramedics, after spending months reflecting on the role they play in the community. They also raised money for the family of a firefighter who died by suicide after struggling with the trauma of his job.
